We are what we think,
Having become what we thought.
Like the wheel that follows the cart-pulling ox,
Sorrow follows an evil thought.
And joy follows a pure thought,
Like a shadow faithfully tailing a man.
We are what we think,
Having become what we thought.
If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due
to the thing itself but to your own estimate of it – and this you
have the power to revoke at any moment.
-Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
These are two quotes are are at the root of our training approach here at XTREME! If you learn to how your thoughts play into your day and in turn your life you will in essence learn how to design the life you want.
Health tip: Enjoy things for what they are...listen the weather has been making living in New York difficult, there is no denying that, but your mental approach to that will make all the difference. Yes, it can be a pain in the ass, but take a moment to enjoy the snow, the rain the essence that exits in what mother nature is doing. Just for a moment, take a a few deep breaths and enjoy it.
Diet Tip: Salad. Eat a salad with every meal tomorrow and notice how much better you feel by the end of the day.
